Bluetooth Data

Remote Magic Trackpad uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to transmit your touch gestures and keyboard input to a paired computer in real time. This includes:

  • Tap, drag, scroll, pinch, and rotate gestures
  • Keyboard key events and modifier keys
  • Device manufacturer and model (sent once during the BLE handshake)

This data is transmitted directly to your paired device only and is not stored, logged, or sent to any server.

Locally Stored Data

The app stores your preferences (e.g., cursor speed, scroll speed, theme mode, haptic feedback settings) locally on your device using SharedPreferences. This data never leaves your device and is not backed up to the cloud.

Analytics Data

The app uses Google Analytics for Firebase to collect anonymous usage data such as session duration, screens visited, and general app interaction patterns. This helps us understand how the app is used and improve its functionality. No personally identifiable information is collected through analytics.

Crash Reporting Data

The app uses Firebase Crashlytics to automatically collect crash reports and diagnostic data when the app encounters an error. This may include device model, OS version, app state at the time of the crash, and stack traces. This data is used solely to identify and fix bugs. No personally identifiable information is collected through crash reporting.

Advertising Data (Free Version Only)

The free version of the app uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect and use device identifiers and usage data to serve and personalize ads. The Pro version of the app does not contain any ads.
