Disk Optimizer scans your device’s filesystem to build a map of files, directories, and their sizes. This data exists only in the device’s memory while the app is running and is never stored permanently or transmitted to any server.

Installed App Information

The app queries your device for installed app sizes (app, data, and cache) and last-used timestamps to display in the installed apps viewer. This information is used locally for display purposes only and is never transmitted.

Locally Stored Data

The app stores a small number of preferences locally on your device using SharedPreferences:

  • Theme mode (System, Light, or Dark)
  • Display size scaling
  • Onboarding completion flag

Files you move to the in-app trash are stored in the app’s private storage directory on your device. This data never leaves your device and is not backed up to the cloud.

Analytics Data

The app uses Google Analytics for Firebase to collect anonymous usage data such as screens visited and optimization events (number of files processed, bytes saved). This helps us understand how the app is used and improve its functionality. No personally identifiable information is collected through analytics.

Crash Reporting Data

The app uses Firebase Crashlytics to automatically collect crash reports and diagnostic data when the app encounters an error. This may include device model, OS version, app state at the time of the crash, and stack traces. This data is used solely to identify and fix bugs. Advertising Data

The app uses Google AdMob to display banner advertisements. AdMob may collect and use device identifiers and usage data to serve and personalize ads.
